This book contains all the necessary info that is required to tackle the questions in this examination. Written by veteran CAT trainers, this book is also beneficial for students preparing for XAT, IRMA, MAT, IIFT, and XLRI.

This book consists of five parts, which have been further divided into smaller sections. The first part is Building Skills For Reading Comprehension, which contains two sections-Reading Comprehension, and LOD Exercises. The second part is Verbal Ability, and consists of five sections, which include Fill In The Blanks, Vocabulary-Based Questions, Vocabulary, Paragraph Jumbles, and Sentence Correction. The third part is Verbal Reasoning, and has four sections which include Syllogisms, Binary Logic, Logical Deductions, Previous Year Questions From The CAT, and Critical Reasoning/ Paragraph Comprehension. The fourth part is named Mock Tests, consisting of two papers of different difficulty levels. The fifth part CAT Papers, consists of two sections, which include CAT Papers, and Sample Papers On 2009 Pattern.

Through the course of this book, the readers are provided with a great deal of practice exercises on reading comprehension, and vocabulary-based questions as well. The readers are also guided into a scientific approach to solving CAT problems in a short time frame, and this edition consists of an entire section on the origin of words, root words, suffixes, and prefixes. In this book, a number of mock test papers have also been included, which help the readers gauge their progress. Additionally, the readers are also provided with solved question papers till 2008.

About The Authors

Arun Sharma is a well-known author, and trainer. Apart from this book, Sharma has written How To Prepare For Logical Reasoning For The CAT Common Admission Test, Study Package For The CAT Online (With CD), and How To Prepare For The Data Interpretation For The CAT Common Admission Test. Sharma is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He has qualified for the CAT 13 times, having a record percentile of over 99.9 per cent several times. Sharma is a best-selling author of Tata McGraw Hill Education.

Meenakshi Upadhyay is also a well-known author, corporate trainer, and communications expert.
